Other News:

A new entrance sign was designed, fabricated and installed at the entrance to RRS. Erik Powell, owner of Artisan Signs and Graphics, and our Rockridge Shores neighbor, graciously helped us with this project so that we only paid for materials and labor. This saved us several thousand dollars. We are really excited about how this improves our entrance. The old sign is going to be refurbished and placed at the access lot.

We will begin a fundraising campaign for funds to repair the Access Lot boat ramp. More information will be shared soon.  We hope that everyone realizes the huge gain in property values that this boat access gives to every property owner, whether you live on the water or not, and whether you use the boat ramp or not.

Association dues are very important in order for us to continue to maintain and improve the access lot and sign areas. The access lot and boat ramp are wonderful assets for this community. It takes a yearly commitment from all of our neighbors to pay for insurance on the lot, run the web site, replace the entrance sign, and replace the boat ramp. Thanks to all who have, over the years, given more than the basic amount requested. It makes it possible to move closer to projects that need to be completed.

Please remember that it is NC State Law that boats and jet skis must be operated at a no wake speed when within 50 yards of a pier.  To help visualize this: Most piers are 25 yards long. Picture DOUBLING the length of that pier. You have to be that far away from the pier before you can go fast enough to leave a wake. Basically the no wake zone extends until Rockridge Shores houses and Bahia Bay houses are no longer facing each other across the water.

Board meeting minutes and treasurer reports are on the web site (rockridgeshores.com) under the members section.

If anyone is interested in starting a social group such as Bunco, Poker, Book Club, or planning an outing to a movie, etc., please reach out to the Board and we can help you with finding interested neighbors via a community email blast.
